Honeywell

Finance Intern

June - August 2018 • Phoenix, AZ

What I liked

There was so much networking with individuals at the company. Everyone from peers a few years out of college up to the CEO and CFO. I worked on a project for the whole summer and at the end presented it to the executive. The CFO complimented my project and told me how much it would be used to benefit the company. It good to know that even as an intern I was making a difference!

What I wish was different

I wish I could have had more technical training in down time on applications currently used in business such as Tableau, SAP, etc to prepare me to begin full-time.

Advice

Do not be afraid to get out of your bubble. Sit at the big table with the executives even if you are just shadowing. It shows you want to be there and you are willing to make the effort. Managers will take notice.

Project Engineering Intern

June 2018 • Phoenix, AZ

What I liked

I liked learning about a new industry, and the workings of a big company.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been given more to do - I often found myself being very bored.

Advice

Make sure that you like two of the following: the location, the people, and the job. I didn't enjoy the job very much, but I loved the location and the people and that made it a worthwhile experience.
